On Lu joined our firm in 2006 and practices in the areas of intellectual property, with an emphasis on trademark litigation and
anti-counterfeiting. Mr. Lu’s prior work experience enables him to bridge clients’ legal needs from a pragmatic, business perspective.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Lu spent 10 years launching hi-tech companies into Europe and Latin America. He originated business with global leaders such as AOL, Yahoo, Net2Phone, DeltaThree, MediaRing, Verizon, QVC, Dixons, CompUSA, OfficeMax, Staples, Costco, Surcouf, Wanadoo, El Corte Ingles, Deutsche Telecom, Telenor, Brasil Telecom, and Telefonica Argentina. Mr. Lu also studied in Austria and Hong Kong.
During law school, Mr. Lu served as Student Body President, served on the USF Law Review, and taught Street Law to inner-city high school students. Mr. Lu’s law school class voted him the “Leader Who Contributed Most to the Character of the Law School” and selected him to speak at commencement. Mr. Lu was recently elected as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for BALIF (Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom) — the oldest and largest LGBT bar association in the world. He previous chaired the Membership Committee that grew BALIF by nearly 80%; and spearheaded the organization’s groundbreaking “It Gets Better” videos — in response to the alarming rate of suicide among LGBT youth.
Mr. Lu speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, and Vietnamese. He enjoys volleyball, comic books, Hong Kong action movies, indoor rock climbing, skydiving, hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and traveling the world to collect passport stamps.
