As a civil litigator, Ms. Spelman represents and counsels private and public companies and individuals in a variety of business disputes and complex business relationships. Ms. Spelman is an experienced trial attorney, successfully representing clients through court and jury trials, as well as private mediation and arbitration. With 20 years of experience and perspective, Ms. Spelman has focused on applying practical judgment and strategic decision making to advance her client’s interests and achieve positive economic results—bridging the pragmatic with the creative in her approach to problem solving.
Ms. Spelman is a committed community member and has served on numerous advisory groups and boards, including the Board of Trustees of the San José Repertory Theatre and the Board of Directors of the Morgan Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Foothill Securities, Inc.
A California native, Ms. Spelman has traveled extensively, living and working in
Washington, D.C., and Sweden. She has also enjoyed numerous extended stays
in Taiwan to better serve the firm’s Taiwan-based clients.
